The painting was inspired by the reflected images of bamboo on glass that I saw recently and how I can choose different background images reflecting around the bamboo growth.  I incorporated my beautiful Golden Retriever, Hana standing next to a mirrored building which is across another mirrored building.  I chose to use the view from my home in Kalihi as a double reflected background on the right side and the view outside of the Art Building at the University of Hawaii.
