Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens is one of the most beautiful areas in Hawaii.  On view in the background is a section of the Koolau Mountain range that runs from Kaneohe to Kahuku on the Windward side on the island of Oahu.  This particular painting uses a Fauvist color palette and more spontaneous brush strokes.
